1. What motivates you at work?
I love it when a strategic PR plan comes together, and we get the result we are chasing. It’s the same feeling I had when I worked in media newsrooms – only now ‘getting the story’ is for our clients.
2. What’s one professional achievement you’re proud of?
I’m most proud of Profile Media winning a national customer service award as voted for by our clients. It’s the kind of achievement that I could only dream of when I started in business back in 2007. Our team is the driving force behind those wins.
3. What’s your favourite thing about working at Profile Media?
I love working with like-minded people who are tenacious but actually, also very kind-hearted.
4. Do you have a personal mantra or piece of advice that guides you?
In keeping with my manta of ‘run towards my fear’ outside of work you will find me scaling difficult terrain while bush walking or swimming in the ocean in winter – both activities keep me right in the moment and allow me to access my intuition.
5. What’s an interesting/little-known piece of information about yourself?
Story-telling is also part of one of my other hobbies – collecting antique silver tableware. I’m always imagining who used the item in the generations before me.
6. Professional life before Profile Media?
I am a former News Editor in charge of radio newsrooms in Perth and London and went on to become a Corporate Communications and Media Advisor in the WA State Government. I have run my own successful national public relations agency since 2007, employing result-driven former journalists. I have a Master of Arts and have co-authored three business books.
