The Good Newsletter – August 2025

Welcome to Profile Media’s Good Newsletter recap for August 2025!

We know authenticity is key when looking to take business communication from good to great. This month we’ve seen some noteworthy examples of that in action on LinkedIn.

EES Shipping proved that fun is good business. The team highlighted their Star Wars themed trucks, Jabba The Truck and Luke Skyloader, showcasing the personality behind their freight forwarding business. That personality was also on show when they highlighted their involvement in community-focused events, demonstrating that business social media pages don’t always need to be about selling a service or product, but offering an insight into the values and purpose behind the business.

Meanwhile, Jolly & Sons demonstrated that authenticity doesn’t have to be complicated, highlighting the 24/7 nature of their business and their commitment to clients. Engaging directly with clients and partners is another great way to build your network through LinkedIn.

One of the Profile Media team wrote about the School Holiday Juggle, with Lisa’s post on balancing kids and work striking a chord with parents. Rather than focusing only on maintaining a professional face online, Lisa instead showed up with honesty, vulnerability and humour. The conversation and engagement on this post, continued for weeks afterward because her authenticity resonated with her audience.

These are great reminders that when you speak with integrity and openness, you build more than credibility, you build connection and trust with your audience.
