That is because as consumers we are more motivated by pain than pleasure. So, if we hear someone talking about a problem we have in the media, we are instantly drawn to it. For example, imagine you have lower back pain which your chiropractor has struggled to fix. You turn the TV on and on Sunrise they say “Coming up, we reveal a new cure for lower back pain” you will likely sit and watch the story, take down the name of the doctor and become his or her patient, simply because they’ve been in the media.
Think about the problems you solve for your clients and how they could become stories in the media.
